Traidcraft’s gardening gloves are made from natural rubber by small-scale farmers in Sri Lanka. The farmers are educated on the best ways to tap rubber and care for trees, as well as how to prepare and manage their land, and they receive a premium for the sale of the gloves.
Traidcraft provided the farmers with additional training in business management, and provided capital to the farmer associations, helping them establish savings and loan funds in their villages.
