Information: The red kite is a magnificent bird of prey known for its striking appearance and graceful flight. With a wingspan of approximately 150 centimetres, it displays a distinctive reddish-brown plumage, a deeply forked tail, and pale patches on its primary feathers. These raptors are primarily found in parts of Europe, particularly in the United Kingdom, where they have experienced a remarkable recovery after facing near-extinction. Red kites are opportunistic hunters and scavengers, feeding on a diverse diet consisting of small mammals, birds, carrion, and even insects.
