Queen Matilda Decoration - St Nicolas

Regular price £9.99 Sale

A hand-made decoration of Queen Matilda - William the Conqueror's wife.

Did you know? It was Queen Matilda who was originally thought to have commissioned the Bayeux Tapestry, it was even named after her at first 'The Tapestry of Queen Matilda'

Produced by St Nicolas, who specialise in handmade decorations, the time taken to make each one is reflected in their unique quality.

St Nicolas works with a small Christian community in Thailand that helps disadvantaged rural women find work in their community. Around 200 women work from home sewing their designs by hand, using the traditional Indian method of Zarzi embroidery. The skills of Zarzi are handed down from generation to generation.

You will be purchasing a one-of-a-kind, fairtrade piece which not only makes a beautiful home decoration or gift, but also helps to keep traditional crafts alive.

With hanging loop, ethically sourced.
